CIT Return Now Available; BRA Extends Payment to March 27, Filing to April 15
The Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA) advises that the Corporation Tax (CIT) return for income year 2025 is now available for companies to complete and submit in TAMIS.
Following the Authority’s recent update regarding the final stages of system testing, the return is now fully operational and accessible to taxpayers and practitioners for filing.
In recognition of the delay in availability and to ensure that taxpayers have adequate time to meet their obligations, an extension has been granted for companies with fiscal year-ends between January 1 and September 30. For those companies, the payment deadline has been extended to March 27, 2026, while the filing deadline is now April 15, 2026.
The extension is intended to ensure a fair compliance process and to provide taxpayers and practitioners with sufficient time to review the updated return, complete their submissions accurately, and meet their obligations.
Companies are encouraged to prepare their returns as early as possible and to ensure that all required information is submitted by the revised deadlines. Further guidance is available in the guidance note on the Authority’s website: https://bra.gov.bb/News/Guidance-Notes/Filing-and-Payment-of-Corporation.
The Authority thanks the business community and tax practitioners for their patience and cooperation as these final steps were completed.
