The following are frequently asked questions about the letter you may have received from Revenue Enhancement Program.

Why did I receive a letter?

You have been identified as a business or individual that has an issue with your tax returns that the BRA is looking into.

What happens if you don’t respond to the BRA’s letters?

Failure to follow the instructions in this letter violates the VAT Act Cap 87 and the Income Tax Act Cap 73. If you do not file your return, we may proceed with a range of actions, including compulsory registration resulting in tax due, an assessment based on the information that we have, as well as possible collections and legal action.

How do I pay?

You can make payments at the following BRA locations between the hours of 8:15 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday: Treasury Building, Bridge Street; Weymouth Corporate Centre, Roebuck Street; Warrens Tower II, Warrens; Southern Plaza, Oistins; or Holetown Public Centre, Holetown.

How do I enroll for the amnesty period? When does the amnesty period end?

Visit the BRA website at http://bra.gov.bb and download the application form. Bring the completed form in person to the TAMU section of the BRA on the Ground Floor of the Treasury Building, Bridge Street, St. Michael. The amnesty period will end on December 31, 2018.
